{Handmade Banner} Pink, Cupcakes and Polka Dots

Caution: I might go on and on about this banner because I not-so-secretly love it!

Glitter, pink, dots AND cupcakes? Oh, yes!

We created this banner for our new Etsy shop. It's oh-so girlie. Large letters in alternating pinks, mounted on fun cupcake and polka dot prints, mounted atop sparkly white and pink card stock.

Not enough pink for ya? Didn't think so either, so we added a thick pink ribbon to hold it all together.

Hmmmm, I think it's making me hungry. Either that, or I'm craving some more crafting time ...

Thanks for looking!

{Halloween Banner} Trick or Treat!

Pumpkins and candy corn. Ghouls and goblins. Halloween is right around the corner!

I love the alternating patterns of Halloween-themed papers. (Who knew paper could be so much fun?!) Mikaelah picked out all of the patterns: she just so darn good at making those types of selections.

Hope you love it as much as we do! It's for sale on our Etsy shop, or if you like it but want it just a little different, we'd love to create one for you!

Plenty more Halloween items are on the way, so there's more where this came from!

Happy (early) Halloween, everyone!

{Ribbon Topiary} Pastels for Baby Shower

These are two topiaries Mikaelah made for an upcoming baby shower. For a boy or a girl, the parents-to-be don't know, so the colors of the shower are pastels, including blue, pink, green, yellow and a little brown. Oh yes, and polka dots, too. (My favorite!)

Congratulations to the soon-to-be mommy and daddy!

{First Birthday Party} Blues and Bouncy Balls for Bryson

We've been busy making items for Bryson's upcoming first birthday party. Remember the bouncy ball banner we made recently? Now we have more decorations to go along with it. (You notice how I can no longer wait until ALL the decorations are done to put up one lengthy blog post. It's too much fun, and I just can't wait until the very end to show you all what we've been working on!)

And of course, the birthday banner for the birthday boy! (First seen here in a previous post.)

Can't wait 'til the little man's party!

We're on Etsy!

That's right! You can now find our Banana Lala shop on Etsy.com, the giant online marketplace for all things handmade and vintage. We're thrilled to be a part of it, and even more thrilled to have the opportunity to create banners and party decorations for people outside of our Tri-State area.

We have a few items listed already, but we'll be adding lots more very soon. So be sure to check out our Etsy shop and let us know what you think!

{Handmade Banner} Tea Party in Pink, Purple and Lime Green

We're finally getting ready to host a tea party for our little girls' 2nd birthdays. It's something we started last year when they each turned one. My daughter Avery and our niece Brylee loved it. (And so did our nephew Landon, even if he won't admit it!) Funny thing is, the girls' birthdays were in March and April ... but we'll celebrate anyway!

Here is the party banner we created to go along with the theme.

Ohh, it's going to be one girlie party! I'll be sure to post pictures of the party setup fit for our little princesses.

{Handmade Banner} Bryson's 1st Birthday

Little Bryson is about to turn 1! He loves bouncy balls, which is the theme of his upcoming birthday party. We created this birthday banner to look like a ball pit. (I think it's so fun, it makes me want to go play at one of those bouncy house places!)

Fun, right? We hope Bryson (and his mommy, Susan) thinks so, too!

Happy 1st Birthday, Bryson!

{Ribbon Topiary} Bright Pink

Mikaelah had a special request for a bright pink ribbon topiary ... and I think she delivered! I love all the contrasting hues and textures.

These look beautiful as table centerpieces or on the ends of a cake or dessert table. We love customizing them for various occasions, so let us know if you'd like us to create one for your special event.

{Handmade Banner} Don't Forget the Groom!

Remember this banner? We created it as a gift for a new bride-to-be a while back.

The bride loved it so much that she wanted us to add to it so she and her fiance could display it at their upcoming engagement party.

We're so glad Lynsey loved this banner. And even though a wedding is all about the bride (Why shouldn't it be? It's her day, after all!), we were happy to add the groom's name to this new banner.

Can't wait to see how it looks all together!

{Wedding Banners} "Thank You" and "Just Married"

Nancy and Derek's wedding day is RIGHT around the corner, and they're counting down the days. With about three weeks to go, it's down to the last-minute details. And that includes banners, of course!

With the wedding colors of blue and shades of purple, we created two banners for this happy couple. (They truly are a cute couple and had adorable engagement pictures taken by Roberson Photography.)

I can't wait to see their wedding photos! Best wishes to you both!

{Parties in Action} Ella's Cupcake Party

The lovely mother of 1-year-old Ella shared a picture of the cupcake table from the recent birthday party. I just LOVE seeing everything all put together ... and all those yummy cupcakes ready for the taking!

Thank you, Sarah, for sharing this great photo!

{First Birthday Party} Cupcakes in Turquoise, Pink and Green

Little Ella (what a cutie she is!) is turning one, and she celebrated her big day this weekend with a one-of-a-kind cupcake party.

Ella is an adorable little girl, and she just happens to have the sweetest parents. Her mom, Sarah, came up with the idea of the cupcake party and the colors of turquoise, pink and green. What a cute combination! Mikaelah and I were trilled to be a part of these party preparations.

I fell in love with all the scrapbook paper devoted to cupcakes! Especially this one. We incorporated this pattern into a variety of items for little Ella's party, but we wanted to do something extra special, so this is what we came up with ...

And you know the little cutie is going to smash her way into her very own birthday cake (and probably make a huge and adorable mess). So we created this small banner to string across the front of her high chair. Continuing the cupcake theme, of course.

We loved putting this banner together. The problem was, there were just TOO MANY cute papers and patterns to choose from! (The polka dot ones are among my favorites.)

Ohhh, now this is a fun project that I had really been wanting to try! Cupcake toppers.

And then some coordinating cupcake wrappers.

Ok, this is where Sarah (mom to the little cutie) comes in. She came of with the idea of a cupcake making table for the children at the party. Sarah even prepared a little station for the kids to decorate their own little boxes to take the cupcakes home in. Such a fun idea, and a great way to get the little ones involved in the cupcake making =)

To go along with the cupcake making station, Mikaelah and I created these table signs.

I love how the colors really pop on this door sign that we created for the party.

This tulle cupcake wreath was a project Mikaelah took on, and I was thrilled with how it turned out! What can I say, I love cupcakes. Oh yes, and polka dots, too!

Another Mikaelah project: Have you seen some of the ribbon topiaries she has made for previous parties? Well, these are the baby version of them, and they're simply adorable. Some of the larger topiaries can be found here and here.

So can you tell we had a lot of fun making these for Ella's party? We really did enjoy having the opportunity to do all of this for her. What a fun theme, and what a fun birthday for her.

Happy 1st Birthday, Ella!
