{Children's Museum Fundraiser} Breakfast With the Sugarplum Fairy

We met the sugarplum fairy! ... Well, at least we saw her!

We helped with some decorations for the recent "Breakfast With the Sugarplum Fairy," and it was such a cute and very fun event. It was the fifth annual fundraiser for the Koch Family Children's Museum of Evansville, and what a great cause. {We LOVE the museum! The Quack Factory is the coolest!} Head on over to cMoe's website to find out more about what the museum has to offer.

We handled decorations for the sign-in table out front. Those little trees make me want a candy cane!

We also created a banner with the name of the event. Red and lime green with tulle and candy cane ribbon accents on the ends.

And I think both these little sugarplums had a great time! {My niece Brylee on the left, and my daughter Avery on the right}

A big thanks to cMoe for letting us help out. We were very happy to be a part of this!

{Fall Festival Pet Parade} Wranglin' Up the Wild Westside

Two cowgirls. One cowboy. And a few little "cows" to wrangle up.That's what it took to make our Fall Festival Pet Parade float a winner! Well, and maybe a handful of adults willing to play along and help put the whole thing together.

Mikaelah and I created a few specialty items for our parade float, which we called "Wranglin' Up the Wild Westside."

Seen below are Landon, Brylee and Avery. They had a GREAT time, and at the end they were so proud of their third-place medals.

Here's the whole bunch! We all had a lot of fun, and what a great day for the parade. Nothing but blue skies.

Extra special thanks to our brother, Jonah, who built our fenced-in float. (He is co-owner of Bowen and Becher Construction, and he really knows his stuff. I think he had a lot of fun at the parade and building the float!)

It was our second year in the Pet Parade, and looking back at pictures from the year before, it's funny to see how much our kiddos have grown! Our theme for 2010 was an enchanted forest. (Pretty much just a good excuse to put the little girls in tutus!) The photos were taken by my good friend, Erin McCracken.

We'll be sure to be back at the Pet Parade next year!

{Christmas Topiary} Holiday Gingerbread

Oh, I love gingerbread! And this ribbon topiary is all about some gingerbread.

I'm  loving this large ribbon at the base.

We'll be making more holiday topiaries, but let us know if you'd like one or two in a certain color combination or theme. We'd love to make some specialty ones for you!

{Crafting for a Cause} Happy Birthday Collection in Silent Auction

Mikaelah and I have created a fabulous "Happy Birthday" package that will be part of a silent auction this weekend at the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life for Vanderburgh County (East).

We've created something we think is really fun! The set includes a "Happy Birthday" banner, along with 12 gift bags and tags. And it's all handmade and quite unique.

The gift bags are white, as pictured below, and are the size of a small lunch bag. Colors of the tags include green, purple, pink, orange, yellow, red and blue.

These are the tags that will be attached to the collection when it is on display for the silent auction.

This really is a great cause for the American Cancer Society, and we are very happy to be part of it.

Here are more details:
Opening Ceremonies: 3 p.m. July 16
Closing Ceremonies: 6 a.m July 17
Location: Washington Square Mall

The silent auction ends at midnight on the 16th.

If anyone would like to bid on this ahead of time, let us know and we'd be happy to mark you down on the list.
Here's to raising money for the American Cancer Society!
