{Seasonal Wreath} Hawaiian Parasols with Burlap

Can you tell I'm ready for warmer weather? =)

This is a wreath I had been wanting to make for a long time. And even though it's still winter around here, I couldn't help but go ahead and hang this Hawaiian Parasol wreath on my front door! It may be cold out, but the sunshine coming through the windows tells me that warmer weather is on its way.

This wreath was inspired by a few that I had found online a while back. I just loved the texture of the parasols and all the colors. I added some burlap and the painted initial letter. After all, I love personalization!

Hope you like it! Thanks for looking!

I think Danielle was happy with her order! She ordered a custom banner to match her wedding colors, and we were thrilled to be able to make it for her. Here are a couple of photos of her banner:

{Getting Crafty} Painted Burlap Letters

Oh, Pinterest. So many good crafting ideas, and not enough time to browse all of them.

I found these burlap letters a while back, and I couldn't wait to make them. I love burlap, so I fell in love with the texture of these painted letters.

I had a spot in our VERY small bathroom that needed something new. I had some pictures hung there, but I just wanted something new. {Please excuse the horrible lighting here! I think I need new lightbulbs that aren't so yellow ...}

Like I said, it's the texture that I can't get enough of. Just love it.

There ya go! Just wanted to share =)

{Wedding Banner} Thank You in Hot Pink, Navy and White

Jackie, a lovely customer on our Esty shop, ordered a custom banner to coordinate with her upcoming wedding and to pose with for the couple's thank you cards. She loved one of the patterned card stocks we had used on the listing photo, but she wanted to add some polka dots to the mix. Her flower girls are wearing polka dots, and what a cute way to tie in the pattern elsewhere.

Here are some pictures of her custom banner:

Best wishes to the happy couple!

{Happy Birthday Lala!} Handmade Monogram Letter

Mikaelah, my partner in crime and the best sister ever, celebrated her birthday over the weekend! We all know that we both love to create just about anything, and I wanted to create something special for her. So, of course, I headed over to Pinterest. {We're both very much addicted! Are you?}

She and I both had pinned this monogram letter a while back. This served as my inspiration. I just loved the texture. The contrasting colors of the twine and the purple felt flowers. And the ribbon bow.

Ok, I loved it all, and I just knew that Mikaelah did too.

Here is the finished product:

I just might have to make one for me, too!

{Baby Shower} Jungle Theme for Baby Austin

Jenny is an amazing mother to two little twin boys. She already has her hands full, and she has a baby on the way! Austin Thomas is scheduled to be here in March, and as a family, we couldn't be more excited for her! (She and my husband are cousins. And, oh, the stories I've heard told on them from when they were younger! ... )

Her recent baby shower had a jungle theme with the colors of blue and green, so we couldn't help but want to create a banner for her.

The entire shower was adorable! I'm not sure who made this cute cake, but I wish I could claim it! So sweet.

Jenny's friend Brittany did a great job planning the shower. So much detail, and so creative. And the kiddos had a great time, too! In the photo below, I caught my little girl, Avery, playing with "Toy Story" figurines while all the other kids were up and running around. She did plenty of running, too, and she had a blast!

Congratulations to Jenny and daddy-to-be John. We can't wait for Austin's arrival!

{New Baby Boy} Welcome Banner in Light Blue and Brown

Well, he hasn't made his big arrival as of yet, but his family sure is ready for him! Kelly ordered this welcome banner for her little grandson, Robert. It coordinates with topiaries we created for the momma-to-be's upcoming baby shower.

Here are the coordinating ribbon topiaries, which we wrote about on this previous post.

A new baby is such a wonderful blessing. And babies somehow seem to make all the sleepless nights worth it. =) Enjoy every moment. Congratulations to the proud parents-to-be!

{Wedding Banner} Thank You in Red, Black and Silver

It sure feels like wedding season! We've been creating several "Thank You" and "Just Married" banners for brides visiting our Etsy shop. Here is one we recently shipped out to Amber in Texas. She is getting married in a few weeks, and she wanted her banner customized to go with her wedding colors of red, black and silver. She loved the idea of using alternating patterned card stock, so here is what we created just for her:

Thanks, Amber! We enjoyed making this for you. Best wishes!

{Wedding Banner} Thank You in Dark Purple and Bright Green

A great customer on our Etsy shop, Brittney, had a vision for a custom banner. She had browsed our shop and really liked one of the banners, but she wanted to make it her own and really customize it. We were happy to be able to create it for her.

Going off of her wedding colors of dark purple and bright green, we created this handmade banner for her and her groom to hold for wedding photos on their big day.

We hope you have a beautiful wedding day! Best wishes!

{First Birthday Party} On the Farm with Cow Print and Red Bandanna

Mooooo-ve aside! Haden is about to turn ONE! And he's having a barnyard birthday party to celebrate his big day.

His sweet mother, Blaire, had a vision for the birthday boy's banner. She drew inspiration from one she had seen online, and we took it from there to create a truly unique banner for Haden. Alternating cow print and red bandanna print make up this banner, strung together with twine and accented with a little raffia on the ends. It's a new look for a Banana Lala banner, and we're absolutely loving it!

Here is what we created for little Haden:

This little "one" banner is something new for us as well. It's a similar size as our high chair banner, but it could also be used as another decoration elsewhere at the party. {And we're really diggin' the shape of this particular banner, so don't be surprised if you see more like these from us in the future!}

Happy Birthday, Haden! And thank you, Blaire, for letting us create this for you!
